Recycle / Upcycle Workshops for Groups

 We're delighted to offer workshops and short courses, with a focus on reusing, recycling and reducing waste! 
Many courses can be facilitated using online technology such as Zoom. 

Journalling and Scrapbooking courses

Use a range of textured papers and recycled materials to create memorable scrapbooks and journals. Use art techniques to add interest and colour to your pages, and add extra little touches to create your own unique project. A fun course where your creativity will shine!

Charity shop hack workshop

Transform something old into something new! Whether its a charity shop bargain or something from around the house (small side table, plant stand, mirror, etc), you'll learn how to repurpose your item using sandpaper, paint and decorative effects! A great way to save money, reduce waste and recycle.

Mosaics Mixed media
​Upcycle workshop

Use mosaics to bling up a household item into something more interesting. Learn how to apply mosaics, adhesive and grout to create lovely plant pots, or to decorate a small table or household item. Learn how to use recycled tiles and broken pottery to create your own unique project. Suitable for beginners.

Glass Recycle
Upcycle workshop

Enjoy arts and crafts using recycled glass, and making vases and/or tea lights to take home. Pictured: a a trio of seasonal vases using a range of decorative materials. Different colour schemes available. This creative course encourages recycling, reusing and reducing waste.

CrEAtive container Gardening 

​A fun way to recycle and reuse a range of items from around the house (or charity shops) to make an indoor or outdoor planter. Learn the basics of container gardening, plant care, and plant suitability for a range of growing conditions. Plant up a lovely seasonal container.

Furniture Makeover
Upcycle

Transform a small piece of furniture into a piece you love! Learn how to prepare, prime and paint your piece to achieve a new look. Learn decorative effects that you can apply to your piece. This is a great way to customise or repurpose a small piece of furniture such as a table. This is a 6 week course.

for outdoor / gardens

Decorate a bird box or plant pot for the outdoors. Choose from a range of colours and decorative papers. Learn how to protect your piece with outdoor varnish. This course encourages recycling, reusing and reducing waste. Suitable for beginners.

Upcycle items
​with Decoupage

Using seasonal colours and patterns you'll turn an unwanted item into something new with paint effects and a technique called decoupage. Transform a small item (e.g. wood tray, jewellery box, crate/box, lamp) to create your 'new' piece.  Learn how to use paint and creativity to upcycle and recycle. Suitable for beginners.

Wreath Making / Decorating

Make a indoor / outdoor wreath using foraged and recycled materials. Learn how to use plant material to create a wreath base and how to wire on decorative items such as seasonal berries, flowers and fauna to create a unique wreath. A creative and fun workshop.
